MILTON ULLADULLA BYPASS UPDATE

LATEST NEWS: MILTON ULLADULLA BYPASS UPDATE

After years of delay, the local Shoalhaven and wider South Coast community is a step closer to seeing the Milton Ulladulla bypass project come to life.

With the well-received announcement that Transport for NSW has recently awarded a contract to Aurecon Australasia Pty Ltd to carry out the final concept design and environmental assessment for the bypass, I am pleased to advise that community members and landowners can have their say on the $940 million bypass project at several drop-in sessions between 26 February and 20 April 2025.

The concept design will include confirmation of the design features, such as the lane configuration and intersections connecting to the existing highway.  It will also provide more certainty on the project’s footprint and boundaries, including local road access during the construction and operation of the bypass.

These discussions are designed as a listening exercise to understand current and future access requirements, any potential safety issues, frequency, duration and type of trips, property usage etc. This feedback is critical to inform the bypass design milestones.

I urge community members to attend one of the drop-in sessions outlined below:

    • Community information stall at the Milton Show: 7 – 9 March 2025
    • Community information stall at Farmers at Burrill (markets) – 4 April 2025
    • Community information stall at the Blessing of the Fleet Festival – 20 April 2025

I know how important this project is to the Milton, Ulladulla and surrounding communities, and I will continue to work to ensure that the Milton Ulladulla bypass remains a priority and work begins as soon as possible. I will keep you posted with the dates for the Community drop-in sessions at Ulladulla and Mollymook as soon as they are confirmed.
