HELP STOP PRIVATISATION

Our community buildings belong to us — and they should be used to support our community, not sold off.

For more than 20 years, Nowra Youth Centre has given local young people a safe place to turn when times are tough.

Now, its future is at risk.

Shoalhaven City Council has voted to sell off more than 20 properties in a $14 million land sell-off, including community buildings used by Nowra Youth Centre, the historic Werninck Craft Cottage and local homelessness services.

These are buildings our community relies on to look after people when they need help most.

And once our community buildings are privatised and sold, we will never get them back.

That’s why I’m calling on Shoalhaven City Council to stop the privatisation and protect the buildings our vital community services rely on.
